Queen Size Italian Bed in Lemon Grove, CA

Beautiful, Italian made, queen size bed for sale. Purchased in Italy in 2010, this bed is very unique in that it has a built in shelf and storage in the head board with a built in reading light. Two switches control the light, one for each side of the bed. It has a couple minor scratches but nothing the proper shade of wood pen won't cover up. The mattress is less than 3 years old. No stains, no spills and comes with a removable, washable mattress cover. The bed originally had a metal frame instead of a box spring (as is the Italian style), but unfortunately that was lost in a previous move. I configured two lightweight stands out of plywood and 4x4's and that is what the mattress lays on now. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The total bed frame is 68.5 inches wide by 95 inches long. The mattress sits 9in off the ground. The headboard is 41 in tall. The Shelf is 6.5 inches deep by 5.5-8 in tall. The Storage area is 25 in tall by 6.5-9in deep. (It is curved for style and convenience). I am moving into a camper for an indefinite amount of time and don't want to throw money away storing my bed, otherwise I would keep it forever. The bed is easy to take apart and reconfigure for ease of transport, but the headboard with storage is very heavy. I don't know what kind of wood it's made of, I think press board, but it will take at least two very strong people to move it. I can help you take it apart but I will not be able to help you move it. Asking $500 for bed and mattress. Will consider reasonable offers. Must be gone by 1 Feb.
